  • Barbara Simons | Director

    Barbara, the director and co-founder of the Laura Vicuña Pre-Kindergarten, holds a master’s degree in elementary education and environmental education from Southern Connecticut University. Prior to co-founding the pre-kindergarten, she taught elementary school for ten years including two years as a reading resource teacher. She has been part of Sts. Peter and Paul School and Church family since 1984.

  • Shirleen Balistreri | Teaching Assistant

    Ms. Shirleen, a San Francisco native, spent 8 years as a teaching assistant in the second grade of Sts. Peter and Paul School and has been in the Pre-K since 2017. Her husband graduated from SSPP, as did their two sons. Shirleen is a San Francisco native and cherishes time with family and friends, especially during annual family trips to Disneyland.

  • Jessyca Ng | Teacher Pre-K 3

    Ms. Jessyca is a Pre-K and Sts. Peter and Paul School alumni. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and is a teacher in the Pre-K 3's. In her free time, she likes to travel with friends and family.

  • Diana Phung | Teacher Pre-K 4

    Ms. Phung has been with the Pre-K since 2006. She came to the Pre-K with previous experience teaching at The Hamlin School. She is a graduate of The University of California at Santa Cruz and has her early childhood education certification from Vanguard University. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and listening to music.

  • Lucia Rojas | Teaching Assistant

    Ms. Lucia was born and raised in Colombia. She has been a teaching assistant at the Pre-K since 2017. Her son graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul School and her step-granddaughter is a student at Sts. Peter and Paul School. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.

  • Jessica Carrabino | Teaching Assistant

    Ms. J is a North Beach native and a Pre-K and SSPP alum. She began working in a preschool setting 10 years ago which sparked her interest to study early childhood education.
