Early Education in the Heart of North Beach Since 1987
Excellence in learning begins in the Laura Vicuña Pre-K program, for 2.9 to 6-year-olds. Curiosity, creativity, and exploration through play are encouraged in an environment that fosters a love for learning at an early age. Children are prepared to enter and excel in kindergarten and beyond. They are taught the fundamentals of problem-solving, independent learning, leadership, and being responsible citizens of the world while cultivating respect for themselves and the environment, and nurturing skills like compassion, kindness, and empathy. Laura Vicuña Pre-K offers extracurricular programming including, yoga, and Italian classes, as well as field trips to our community garden, and other neighborhood businesses.
Class Structure
We are a state-licensed, nonprofit program and we hold two classes:
The Pre-K 4 class is for those who are 4 by September 1.
The Pre-K 3 class is for those who are 2.9 by September 1 and fully toilet trained.
